Recalled items that have been prepared by the restaurants and served to consumers may cause illnesses as a result of the salmonella contamination. Whether eaten at the restaurant or taken home and reheated as leftovers, the raw beef products cause a concern for the health and safety of consumers.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) has announced a recall of 53,154 pounds of raw beef products that may be contaminated with salmonella.
