On the 21st of January 2021, The Door County Coffee and Tea Company of Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin, recalled their 5.1 oz. packages of French Vanilla Flavored Cappuccino Single Serve Cups. The Cappuccino Cups were recalled due to the possibility of containing undeclared Soy and Milk. Individuals with Milk or Soy allergies may develop serious or even fatal symptoms from consuming these products.

The afore-mentioned recalled Door County Coffee and Tea Company’s French Vanilla Flavored Cappuccino Single Serve Cups were distributed at the following locations, either through grocery and gift stores, or through mail orders: Wisconsin, Illinois, Iowa, Indiana, Kansas, Texas, Michigan, Florida, and Missouri. The 5.1 oz. Flavored Cappuccino Cups with the expiration date of 09/22/2022 have a lot code of 1C092220 as well as the Flavored Cappuccino Cups with the expiration date of 12/02/2022, and the lot code of 1C120220-A.

The recall of the afore-mentioned product was initiated originally after the discovery that the packaging did not reveal the presence of the allergens Soy and Milk in the product, and this was followed up with the Door County Coffee and Tea Company contacting the Food and Drug Administration  (FDA). To date, no illnesses have occurred from the possible Soy and Milk allergy concerning Door County Coffee and Tea Company 5.1 oz. French Vanilla Flavored Cappuccino Cups.

Consumers allergic to Soy and/or milk that have purchased Door County Coffee and Tea Company’s French Vanilla Flavored Cappuccino Single Serve Cups are strongly encouraged to discard the product, and will be refunded through contact with The Door County Coffee and Tea Company of Sturgeon Bay, at 1-800-856-6613. Customers with questions and concerns may also contact The Door County Coffee and Tea Company through the former number.
