Following the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) announcement of the HEB and FreshKampo’s recall of organic strawberries, yet another recall related to strawberries has been issued. On the fifth of June, 2022, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) shared Urban Remedy’s recall of their Urban Remedy Strawberry Hibiscus Rose Organic Revitalizing Tea Tonic. This Organic Fresh Food company has issued a recall of their tea tonic due to possible Hepatitis A contamination.

Hepatitis A is a liver infection-causing virus. According to one National Food Poisoning Lawyer, Tony Coveny, symptoms of a Hepatitis A infection are often “severe fatigue, nausea, vomiting, fever, stomach pain, cramping, and jaundice, with yellowing of the skin and skin irritation following the initial stages of gastrointestinal illness. The fatigue and malaise can also last for months”

Individuals who have compromised or weaker immune systems, such as the elderly, sick and children, have an increased likelihood to suffer more severe symptoms. Americans who find themselves experiencing any of the above symptoms or other abnormal side-effects, after consumption of Urban Remedy’s Organic Strawberry Hibiscus Revitalizing Tea Tonic, should immediately contact their personal healthcare provider and local public health officials.

10 0z. Resealable bottles of Urban Remedy Organic Strawberry Hibiscus Rose Revitalizing Tea Tonic was sold for distribution at several retail stores, in the states TX, WY, MO, ME, KY, MI, NC, MA, VA, CO, WA, OR, CO, NY, PA, AZ, IL, OH, MD,  and WI. The tea was sold between the dates May 17th and May 29th, 2022.

Customers who purchased the Urban Remedy Organic Strawberry Hibiscus Revitalizing Tea Tonic, with the LOT number of 1232 and Best By date of 7/17/2022, should discard the product or return it to the location of purchase for a full refund.

Comments, questions and/or concerns can be directed to Urban Remedy, from 9 am to 6 pm at (855) 875-8423 or at [email protected]
