Interpac Technologies Inc. and Think! Voluntarily Recall Protein + Fiber Oatmeal and Farmer’s Market Berry Crumble Products

On the 28th of January 2021, think! And Interpac Technologies announced their voluntary recall of the products Protein + Fiber Oatmeal and Farmer’s Market Berry Crumble, due to an allergy concern. According to Interpac Technologies, Inc. and think!, the Farmer’s Market Berry Crumble products and the Protein + Fiber Oatmeal contain undeclared tree nuts. Individuals with allergies to tree nuts such as almonds and pecans should not consume think! And Interpac Technologies’ Protein + Fiber Oatmeal and Farmer’s Market Berry Crumble products. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), “The body’s immune response can be severe and life threatening, such as anaphylaxis”. As of now, Interpac Technologies Inc. and think! have not been made aware of any illnesses or allergic reactions caused by the Protein + Fiber Oatmeal and Farmer’s Market Berry Crumble Products.

While the recalled Interpac Technologies Inc. and think! Protein + Fiber Oatmeal and Farmer’s Market Berry Crumble Products were manufactured in the United States, they were distributed across the nation, through their website, ecommerce websites, and retail stores.

The problem of undeclared tree nuts, such as almonds and pecans, was initially discovered after a customer found a fraction of an almond while consuming the Protein + Fiber Oatmeal and Farmer’s Market Berry Crumble product. Interpac Technologies and think! was made aware of the issue, and immediately reported it to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), who announced the allergy alert on January 28th, 2021.

All Protein + Fiber Oatmeal and Farmer’s Market Berry Crumble products affected by the undeclared tree nuts have a label reading “MADE IN A FACILITY THAT PROCESSES… TREE NUTS”. The products either came in a case containing 6 individual bowls with the UPC Code of 753656712338, or in 1.76 oz. bowls with the UPC Code of 753656711836. Their best by dates are N15OCT21, N16OCT21, N19OCT21, N20OCT21, or N21OCT21.

Consumers with tree nut allergies should return the product to the location where it was purchased and will be fully refunded. Consumers may also direct any additional concerns to 866-98THINK.
