Re-Publish from PR Newswire Press Release concerning Salmonella Egg Lawsuit

The national food poisoning law firm of Ron Simon & Associates, along with Gomez Trial Attorneys, has filed the first August Egg Company Lawsuit in Sonoma County, California. The outcome, linked to organic cage-free eggs, has sickened at least 80 people, hospitalizing about one-quarter of the reported victims so far, including the plaintiff in this lawsuit.

A copy of the lawsuit is available upon request.

The lawsuit was filed on behalf of Carrie Fairchild who consumed the cage-free eggs.  By the next day, she had become ill with the symptoms of salmonellosis, including diarrhea, body aches, fever, vomiting, and dehydration. She was compelled to seek medical attention for her illness, was hospitalized, and continues to suffer the effects of salmonellosis.

The implicated organic, brown cage free eggs and brown certified organic eggs, with sell by dates from March 4, 2025, to June 19, 2025, were distributed in California, Washington, Nevada, Arizona, Wyoming, New Mexico, Nebraska, Indiana, and Illinois to retail locations including Save Mart, FoodMaxx, Lucky, Smart & Final, Safeway, Raleys, Food 4 Less, Ralphs, and Wal-Mart locations. Ms. Fairchild purchased the eggs in California at a Safeway store.

Ron Simon, a world-renowned food safety lawyer who represents many hundreds of salmonella victims at present, issued the following statement: “This outbreak has already sicked many dozens of consumers, and will likely grow as the number of eggs implicated in this recall includes at least 1.7 million cartons, or well in excess of 20 million eggs.  Our office is receiving calls hourly from affected patrons who have contracted food poisoning after consuming the contaminated eggs.”

Food Safety Attorneys Establish August Egg Organic, Cage-Free  Salmonella Claim Center

Mr. Simon and his law firm have established an August Egg Organic, Cage-Free Salmonella OutbreakClaim Center to assist victims in the outbreak.  The Salmonella Claim Center can be reached toll-free at 1-888-335-4901 or by going to the firm’s Website, at https://www.ronsimonassociates.com/.
