A recall first announced on June 24, 2025 by Moon N Sea GA LLC, based in Buford, Georgia, for various ready-to-eat fish products due to being manufactured under unsanitary conditions remains ongoing. Consumer Action
Consumers should check their homes and businesses for the impacted products.
As with all food recalls, consumers are strongly advised to discontinue use of the affected products even if they look or smell safe to eat.
Anyone or any business in possession of the products is requested to not sell, serve, donate, or distribute them.
Consumers should thoroughly sanitize any surface, utensils, or containers that have come into contact with the impacted products.
Any item from the company should be disposed of immediately. The recall notice did not say whether or not the products could be returned to the place of purchase for a refund.
Health Risks
According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), “insanitary facilities and equipment and poor food handling and personal hygiene practices by employees create an environment in which pathogens and other food safety hazards can contaminate and adulterate products.”
Inadequate handling and preparation of food can result in food poisoning. The signs of food-related sickness differ from person to person. Most commonly, people experience digestive issues such as feeling sick to their stomach, throwing up, and loose bowel movements. These illnesses can sometimes become serious enough to cause death.
Leading nationwide food poisoning law firm Ron Simon & Associates says that anyone who has become ill from consuming or interacting with any product from the company should contact their healthcare provider immediately.
