Select Customs Solutions clarified in their voluntary recall that while the cause for plastic being found in the Vanilla Flavored Egg White Protein product remains unknown, no other Jay Robb products are affected in this foreign material hazard alert.
For identification, the United States Food & Drug Administration (FDA) shared that the affected product has the full title of “Jay Robb Vanilla Flavored Egg White Protein,” in a white, tight-sealed pouch, weighing 24 ounces. The product contains a Lot code 23080-2C2. The Jay Robb Vanilla Flavored Egg White Protein product bears a mark of the time stamp 09:00 to 12:00. The affected products were distributed online through various retail stores as well as directly from the Jay Robb website.
