Food safety lawyer Ron Simon today announced the settlement of three claims for a family who contracted Staphylococcus Aureus from contaminated food.

The victims were part of an outbreak linked to pulled pork sandwiches served between May 13 and 14, 2013 at Jordan Springs Market in Stephenson, Virginia.  One of the family members was hospitalized, while the other two did not require hospitalization.

Officials from the Lord Fairfax Health District confirmed that at least 4 customers were sickened after consuming food from the restaurant.  Testing of one of the victims’ sandwiches revealed Staphylococcus Aureus.

“Our clients are very pleased with their settlements, and with the knowledge that the restaurant has now taken steps to improve its food safety practices.”

As the managing partner of food safety firm Ron Simon & Associates in Houston, Texas, Mr. Simon represents victims of food poisoning all over the United States.  He has recovered over $600,000,000 for his clients over the past 20 years.

Through food poisoning lawsuits and litigation, the firm relentlessly challenges food manufacturers, distributors, and retailers to make food safer for everyone.
