CDC and public health officials in several states and FDA are investigating a multistate outbreak of Salmonella infections linked to products containing moringa leaf powder. If you have any of the products listed below in your home, throw them out or return them to the store. CDC and FDA continue to work to identify if there are other products causing illness in this outbreak.

Africa Imports Organic Moringa Leaf Powder
  • All Organic Moringa Leaf Powder purchased after 06/05/2025
  • Product packaged in 1-kilogram boxes labeled “Organic Moringa Leaf Powder”
  • Sold nationwide through company’s website: africaimports.com
Members Mark SuperGreens

Member’s Mark Super Greens Powdered Supplements

  • All lot codes and best by dates are affected
  • Sold at Sam’s Clubs in stores nationwide and online
  • Sam’s Club stopped distribution of these products, but people may still have them at home

FDA’s traceback investigation identified a single lot of organic moringa leaf powder linked to illnesses in this outbreak. This lot is from Vallon Farmdirect PVT LTD of Johdpur, India, and labeled Batch No.: VFD/ORG/MORP/L/24 with best by date (BBD) of November 2027.

As the investigation continues, additional products containing moringa leaf powder made with this lot may be added to the list of products to not eat, sell, or serve.

What you should do

  • Do not eat any recalled products. Throw them away or return them to where you bought them.
  • Wash items and surfaces that may have touched the recalled products using hot soapy water or a dishwasher.

Call your healthcare provider if you have any of these severe Salmonella symptoms:

  • Diarrhea and a fever higher than 102°F
  • Diarrhea for more than 3 days that is not improving
  • Bloody diarrhea
  • So much vomiting that you cannot keep liquids down
  • Signs of dehydration, such as:
    • Not peeing much
    • Dry mouth and throat
    • Feeling dizzy when standing up

What Businesses Should Do

  • Do not sell or serve any recalled products.
  • Wash and sanitize items and surfaces that may have come in contact with recalled products.

Symptoms

  • Most people infected with Salmonella experience diarrhea, fever, and stomach cramps.
  • Some people—especially children younger than 5 years, adults 65 years and older, and people with weakened immune systems—may experience more severe illnesses that require medical treatment or hospitalization.
