The Simi Chipotle, located in Simi Valley at 1263 Simi Town Center Way, Simi Valley, CA 93063, has reopened after being compelled to close for cleaning. It also threw out the food on-hand, and brought in new food prior to reopening out of an abundance of caution, especially since investigators have yet to determine what pathogen they are dealing with. A Chipotle restaurant is now at the center of a food poisoning outbreak in California. The Chipotle is located in Simi Valley at 1263 Simi Town Center Way, Simi Valley, CA 93063. The Pierce County establishment is said to be issuing a recall of about 120 thousand pounds of whole hogs following identification of 134 people with salmonellosis – at least 12 of those are residents of Pierce County. The large outbreak of Salmonella food poisoning in Washington State, which has been linked to roasted pig, has grown to at least 134 cases, with over half of the victims, 84, confirmed in King County (including the greater Seattle area). Yet another daycare center has become the conduit of dangerous E. Coli bacteria. Idaho’s Central District Health Department (CDHD) has updated the results of its investigation of an outbreak of Salmonella affecting patrons of the Boise Co-Op Deli who purchased food from June 1 – 10, 2015, including those who purchased food sold at the airport in Boise, where the Boise Co-Op sells food at airport kiosks. The Washington State Department of Health (WSDH) has updated its assessment of a large Salmonella Pork Outbreak, identifying 61 victims across King, Snohomish, Mason, Thurston, Pierce, Grays Harbor, Yakima, and Clark counties.
