The key concern appears to be exposure to methanol, acetaldehude, and benzene, dangerous chemicals in the product.

Symptoms of “large quantity exposure” to methanol include nausea, vomiting, headache, blurred vision, blindness, with illness sometimes resulting in comas and seizures. Those who are most at risk for methanol poisoning are individuals that choose to, or more likely accidentally, consumed the afore-mentioned products. And while benzene exposure can occur either orally, through the skin, or through inhalation, any overdose increases the risk of leukemia and blood cancer, and other such related bone and blood diseases. Acetaldehyde is also known to cause cancer, which was discovered through studies on animals.

All customers who purchased the prior-mentioned products, and can be identified, have been directly notified by Scentsational Soaps and Candles Inc., and will be fully refunded. Customers with questions, comments or concerns can the reach Scentsational Soaps and Candles at 855-554-8050.
