The national food safety law firm of Ron Simon & Associates, along with co-counsel DiCello Levitt & Casey LLC, has filed the first lawsuit in the food poisoning outbreak linked to Chipotle Mexican Grill located at 9733 Sawmill Parkway in Powell, Ohio.

According to the Delaware General Health Department, as many as 200 patrons have become ill from eating on July 29th and 30th.  The victims include a number of employees who called in sick on those days.

The lawsuit was filed in Delaware County, Ohio, on behalf of Filip Szyller, who is currently undergoing medical treatment after becoming very ill from consumption of chicken tacos at the Chipotle Mexican Grill on July 29th.  He has since experienced fever, diarrhea, nausea, headaches, fatigue, and hot and cold flashes

“The stomach pain feels awful, and the diarrhea and hot and cold flashes come and go in waves.  This has caused me to miss work and it’s not getting any better” said Szyller in an interview today

A copy of the complaint is available on request.

Ron Simon & Associates Establishes Chipotle Claims Center

Lead attorney Ron Simon issued the following statement today:

My firm represents numerous victims of this outbreak, and we have prosecuted hundreds of cases in the past against Chipotle.  Unfortunately, this is the seventh outbreak caused by Chipotle in recent years.  Through this lawsuit and many others to come, we will find out where Chipotle failed to protect its customers and make sure that they do not do so again.

Mr. Simon and his law firm have established a Chipotle Claims Center to assist victims in the outbreak.  The Chipotle Claims Center can be reached toll-free at 1-888-335-4901 or online at www.foodpoisoningnews.com
