The United States Department of Agriculture Food Safety and Inspection Service announced the recall of Tyson Foods’ Chicken Patty product. The recall was issued on the fourth of November, 2023, due to concerns over potential presence of various foreign substances in the chicken patty product. Initially, the United States Department of Agriculture Food Safety and Inspection Service received multiple complaints of metal-like material in the Tyson Foods Chicken patty product from customers.

The affected product was reportedly processed on September 5th, 2023, to multiple retailers in the states of Wisconsin, Alabama, Virginia, California, Illinois, Ohia, Kentucky, Michigan, and Tennessee. The Berryville, Arkansas-based company, Tyson Foods Inc. shared that the full title of the recalled product is, “Tyson Fully Cooked Fun Nuggets Breaded Shaped Chicken Patties,” packaged in red, plastic bags and bearing the Best If Used By Date of September 24th, 2024.

The brand of the recalled Chicken Patty Fun Nuggets product, Tyson Inc. is known for what they describe as their “…5 C’s: We are a caring team that puts the customer first. We listen, assume positive intent, then speak with candor. We embrace creativity to get better every day. We are inclusive, and through intentional collaboration, we win. We make a commitment daily, to deliver results the right way.” The company clarified on their website that no other product is affected in this foreign matter contamination, other than their Fully Cooked Fun Nuggets Breaded Shaped Chicken Patties.

While approximately 300,000 pounds of the Tyson Foods Chicken Patty product have been recalled, there is still concern that individuals may be in possession of the affected product. If this is the case, consumers should strictly avoid consumption of the product; either by discarding it or by returning it to the location of purchase.

Tyson Foods is available to answer any questions, comments or concerns, at the number 855-382-3101.
