The recall was issued on the fourth of November, 2023, due to concerns over potential presence of various foreign substances in the chicken patty product. Initially, the United States Department of Agriculture Food Safety and Inspection Service received multiple complaints of metal-like material in the Tyson Foods Chicken patty product from customers. On the 20th of October, 2023 the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced Baker Farms’ recall of Kroger brand Bagged Collard Greens. The voluntary recall was reportedly issued due to the product having been potentially contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. The Norman Park, South Georgia-based company, Baker Farms, shared that the issue was discovered during a scheduled, standard testing by the Tennessee Department of Agriculture, when the Kroger Bagged Collard Greens tested positive for the bacterium Listeria monocytogenes. The Kirkland Signature, Sunnyvalley Smoked Meats, Ready-To-Eat Ham Products were placed under a “Public Health Alert” on the 6th of October, 2023. On the 28th of September, 2023, the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) published the recall of Eagle Produce LLC’s Whole Cantaloupe product due to a positive Salmonella test. The FDA’s publication of Eagle Produce’s Whole Cantaloupe recall followed a day after the Scottsdale, Arizona-based company’s announcement; on September 27th, 2023. The presence of Salmonella in the cantaloupe product was discovered through a random testing conducted by the FDA’s distribution center officials. At 5:30 PM on September 19th, 2023, the Kraft Heinz Company publicized their voluntary recall of Kraft Singles American Processed Cheese Slices due to a packaging issue. During the process of the Kraft cheese product being wrapped, some film was found remaining attached to the Processed Cheese Slices.
