The E. coli lawyers at Ron Simon & Associates have filed a Chelsea’s Gentle Care E. coli Lawsuit in Maryland on behalf of three of the affected families.

The lawsuit follows a confirmed E. coli outbreak at the  Chelsea’s Gentle Care Child Development Center, formerly located at 531 Old Westminster Pike, Suite 102, Westminster, Maryland, 21157, in Carroll County, Maryland.  At least 23 victims were identified, with one having to be hospitalized for over a month, and many more seriously injured.  Fortunately, there were no fatalities in this E. coli outbreak.

Chelsea’s Gentle Care Child Development Center – About Two Dozen Victims

On May 26, 2015, a local laboratory notified the Baltimore County Department of Health (BCDH) that  a Chelsea’s Gentle Care child had tested positive for Shiga toxin-producing E. coli (“STEC”).  The BCDH immediately opened an investigation, and within days had confirmed other Chelsea’s Gentle Care children were similarly sick.  By Saturday, May 30,  the Carroll County Health Department (CCHD) and the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, were recommending that the Chelsea’s Gentle Care center close its doors to prevent the spread of STEC.  By the time the BCHD and CCHD had completed their investigation, nearly two dozen victims had been identified in the Chelsea’s Gentle Care outbreak.  Three of the families most affected have joined the Chelsea’s Gentle Care E. coli Lawsuit.
