Lipari Foods, LLC has issued a voluntary recall of Premo Brand and also Fresh Grab turkey and Korean submarine sandwiches created and packed by sister firm JLM because of possible contamination of Listeria monocytogenes. Listeria monocytogenes is an organism, which may result in severe and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Although healthy individuals may suffer only temporary indications like high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, stomach pain and diarrhea, Listeria infection can cause miscarriages and stillbirths among pregnant women.
