Shakespeare’s Pizza of Columbia, Missouri is recalling all its frozen pizzas from grocery stores, as they contain wheat, but do not declare the presence of wheat on their labels. People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to wheat run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products.

Our pizzas are distributed in grocery stores throughout Missouri, and in a small number of grocers in Kansas, in the Kansas City metro area. Affected products listed in the table below. Images of the labels on the products are at the end of this document.

A routine inspection by our government regulatory agency partners brought to light the omission of a declaration on our labeling of the presence of wheat in our pizzas.

Any consumers who have dietary restrictions concerning wheat should not consume our pizzas. Consumers may return products to the point of purchase, or to Shakespeare’s Pizza, for a refund.
