Company Announcement

Borsari Food Co of Jamestown, NY is recalling all of its Bloody Mary Mix due to undeclared allergens. People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to fish (anchovy), or soy that are not declared on the label run the risk of a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products.

The product was distributed to stores within 100 miles of Jamestown, NY as well as through its own website. We are reaching out to each retail store that sells the product and all consumers who purchased the product on the website.

The product is sold in a clear plastic 32 oz. bottle with a black label stating our brand name (Borsari) with “Bloody Mary Mix” in large block letters. The UPC code is 815893000101.

No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with this issue.

The issue was discovered in the context of a New York State Department of Agriculture inspection. Current in-house inventory, as well as future product, will clearly declare these ingredients (i.e., fish (anchovy) and soy) on the label.

Consumers who have purchased this product and have concern about the inclusion of the allergens are welcome to return the product. In addition, we are reaching out to all consumers who purchased this product. Kindly provide proof of purchase, and we will issue a replacement with the new label.
